Form protection – privacy supplement

This supplement explains the automatic bot protection used by the Ruptela.hu contact form. General information about data processing is available in our central privacy notice (in Hungarian).

Verification and stored data

The ALTCHA check starts only on submission, without an external verification API or cookies. It does not collect mouse movements or scrolling behaviour.

To limit bulk spam and repeat submissions, our server stores secret-keyed hashes of the IP address and contact detail, timestamps and counters. These are pseudonymised, not anonymous, data. The security ledger does not contain names, message text, raw IP addresses, email addresses or phone numbers. IPv6 addresses within the same /64 network share a limit.

The one-time proof is valid for 10 minutes. Rate-limit entries are used in rolling windows of up to 24 hours. Expired entries are deleted during the next successfully recorded protection request; without further traffic, they may remain in private server storage until then.
